First Fruits Having the opportunity to serve others is viewed as a blessing and a privilege, not an obligation. In this spirit OZ Holdings established First Fruits, a private, non-profit foundation dedicated to identifying and supporting worthy causes that have a direct and positive impact on the lives of people who, due to circumstances beyond their control, have limited ability or means to help themselves. Currently First Fruits supports: Half the Sky Foundation "Changing children's lives does not require new facilities or expensive playthings or complicated new procedures. Human contact is the most important ingredient, and caretakers can make a huge difference -- just by taking an extra moment whenever possible to hold the babies, talk to the children, hug them all, and assure them that someone cares." From 'For the Children', Half the Sky's training manual OZ Holdings sponsors the Half the Sky program at the children’s orphanage in Chuzhou, Anhui province.
